The Elon AI Toolbox is a curated collection of custom generative AI tools, built from suggestions by and in collaboration with members of our community. Each tool is the work of an individual creator, whose name you'll find in the APA citation on that tool's detail card.

What this is, and what it isn't

Each tool is a personal project by its individual creator. It reflects that creator's goals, judgment, and design choices. It is not an official position, policy, or recommendation from their department, course, program, or Elon University.

Please be aware

Generative AI is powerful but imperfect. Two things to keep in mind.

• Hallucinate. State things confidently that are not true.
• Reflect bias. Inherit biases present in their training data.
• Lack current information. Models are trained up to a fixed cut-off date.
• Process your input externally. Anything you type is handled by a third-party provider.

• Check your department, course, or supervisor's policies on generative AI and make sure your intended use aligns with them.
• Don't paste personal, protected, or otherwise sensitive information.
• Verify anything that matters, and apply the same critical judgment you would to any other source.

Share your feedback, your questions, and your concerns

Generative AI is useful, contested, and complicated. Some in our community find these tools helpful in teaching, research, or day-to-day work; others have serious pedagogical, ethical, environmental, or other concerns. Both perspectives belong in this conversation, and we'd rather hear what you think and what resources might help you.

• A concern about a specific tool, or about the toolbox as a whole.
• A question about whether an AI tool is appropriate for your course, role, or situation.
• A correction, error report, or factual issue in a tool or its description.
• A tool you'd like us to build or add.
• A story about how you're using (or choosing not to use) what's here.
• A collaboration idea for a new tool or a new approach.

We read every message, and we treat disagreement as part of the work, not an obstacle to it.
